COMPASSIONATE 24-HOUR IN-HOME EUTHANASIA 888-893-6601

Ending the life of a pet is the hardest decision a pet lover can make. To help get through this difficult time, Andrea S. Mullen, DVM and Matthew J. Ehrenberg, DVM have developed an in-home euthanasia service which is a kind final farewell.

Dignified 'Good-Bye'

Our in-home euthanasia procedure allows pet owners to say “good-bye” respectfully and lets pets pass with dignity. The veterinarians use a two-medicine protocol and schedule appointments to allow owners to separate at their own pace. First, a double strength sedating drug is injected deep in the muscle. This drug generally takes effect in one to 15 minutes, usually with no pain upon injection. After the sedating drug has taken full effect, and the pet is no longer mentally aware of its surroundings, the veterinarian administers the euthanasia solution.

Honoring Your Life Companion

The following options to the service are appreciated by those desiring in-home euthanasia:

  • Private cremation with personal returning of the ashes.
  • A memorial candle inscribed with a poem honoring the pet’s passing.
  • A memorial book from the Montgomery family collection.
  • A clay paw print made after the pet has died.
  • A private session with our on-site Bereavement Counselor, Julie Klee.
  • Spreading of the ashes over the scenic Pacific Ocean by airplane.
